Alana Wakula Bio:
Alana Wakula focuses her practice in the areas of family law, wills and estates, and residential real estate. Originally from Calgary where she obtained a degree in political science from the University of Calgary, Alana came to Saskatoon as a single mother with her young son to study law, earning her LL.B from the University of Saskatchewan in 2009. Following a year of articles with the Swift Current office of Legal Aid Saskatchewan, Alana joined the Saskatchewan Bar in 2010, and began practicing law in Saskatoon with a view to making Saskatoon her new home.
Both before and after achieving her law degree, Alana has been focused on providing clients with a perspective not generally provided by many lawyers, a focus on the human side of law. To Alana, this means treating her clients first and foremost as people, not commodities. Alana is adept at helping her clients find solutions, not playing games, but she’s not afraid to stand up for a client’s rights either. To this end, Alana excels at helping her clients understand their legal right and responsibilities as well as providing guidance to her clients on what their best course of action might be in what can sometimes be an emotional or turbulent time in their lives. Alana’s clients know that she understands their concerns, and that she is there when needed.
